About the Creator
This checklist was developed by Kelly Summers, former surgical Registered Nurse turned beauty entrepreneur and founder of The Collective for Beauty Pros. After years working in operating rooms where sterilization, infection prevention, and patient safety were non-negotiable, Kelly entered the beauty industry and quickly recognized a gap. Many professionals were certified and talented, yet lacked clear guidance on real-world infection control, inspection readiness, and regulatory expectations. She saw firsthand that basic training often did not translate into true compliance confidence. The Collective was created to bridge that gap — bringing clinical-level safety standards into the beauty industry in a way that is practical, accessible, and rooted in real experience.
